Welcome!


Hello readers, and welcome to my blog! This is me, Lauren, here to share with you my guide to living a healthy lifestyle that is based on whole, nutritious foods, fitness, and the fundamental mind body connection. With posts on nutrition, vegetarian and vegan recipes, fitness, yoga, meditation, and more, I hope to inspire you to take new steps towards feeling the best you possibly can and achieve a greater sense of balance in your life.



I was seven years old when I was diagnosed with Type 1 Diabetes. At times Diabetes can be physically, mentally and emotionally exhausting, and certainly presents a multitude of challenges. But once I understood that everyone in the world is fighting his or her own battle, I found it impossible to complain or have self-pity. While personal battles differ from one person to another, we all share one thing in common. The common denominator is simply that we only have one body, one mind and one chance to live a life filled with joy and compassion for others, as well as for ourselves. I have found that the first step in having self-love and bringing value into our lives starts on the inside, and is greatly influenced by how we treat our bodies.





A diet based on whole nutritious and plant based foods along with a positive mindset, has given me the strength to confront my challenges head on. I have become a division 1 collegiate athlete, I hold several certifications in both fitness and yoga, and I have used this knowledge to help to guide many people on their journey to a healthier lifestyle. I have worked with thousands of kids and adults to help them understand the enormous significance of an overall holistic mind and body approach to their challenges; whether it be health related, or in another area, the goal was always to simply help others to lead a more fulfilling life. And so, with this blog, it is my hope that I can help you also see the benefits of this approach and enlighten you about how nourishing and healing ourselves from the inside out, with whole nutritious foods, will help you enjoy a healthier lifestyle and ultimately be able to embrace your life to the fullest!
